Norberto y la rata
Hay un chico travieso (mischievous) que se llama Norberto. Él es inteligente pero es muy travieso (mischievous). Él tiene una hermana que se llama Sofía. Normalmente, Sofía y Norberto son amigos pero a veces (sometimes) a Norberto le gusta irritar a su (his) hermana. En la opinión de Norberto, es muy divertido (fun) irritar a su hermana.  Y cuando (when) su hermana está muy enojada, Norberto se ríe «ja ja ja ja ja.» Entonces, la hermana llora y dice «¡Eres un hermano horrible!» y Norberto se ríe y dice «¡Sí, yo soy horrible! ¡Ja ja ja ja!» ¡Pobre Sofía!

Una noche, Norberto va al dormitorio de su hermana. Su hermana no está en el dormitorio, entonces Norberto rápidamente pone una rata entre la cama y la pared. Después, rápidamente corre a su dormitorio. Mientras (while) duerme, Norberto tiene una pesadilla horrible. En la pesadilla, hay una rata grande, es muy grande, ¡es enorme! Y la rata quiere comer. ¡De repente, la rata come a su hermana! Cuando Norberto se despierta, tiene pánico. Él piensa «¿Ésto es una pesadilla o es la realidad?»

Entonces, Norberto va al dormitorio de su hermana. Mira en la cama de su hermana, pero su hermana no está. Entonces, él va a la cocina (kitchen), pero su hermana no está en la cocina. Así que (so) Norberto corre al baño. Mira en el baño, pero su hermana no está en el baño. Entonces, Norberto llora y llora y piensa «Yo soy un hermano horrible. La rata comió a mi hermana. Ahora (now) no tengo una hermana. ¡Qué desastre!»

Norberto va al dormitorio de su hermana. Él se sienta en la cama de su hermana y llora mucho, llora muchísimo. De repente, Norberto escucha un ruido (a noise). ¡Hay una rata enorme en la cama! Norberto grita «¡Ahhhhhh! ¡Tengo miedo!» y corre a su dormitorio. Pero, la rata también corre. La rata corre y agarra (grabs) el brazo de Norberto. Entonces, Norberto está atrapado (trapped) entre la cama y la pared. 

Norberto tiene mucho miedo, ¡tiene muchísimo miedo! Él llora y llora y dice «¡Por favor, tú no necesitas comerme. ¡Yo no soy delicioso! ¡Yo no soy comida para una rata!»

De repente, la rata se ríe. La rata se ríe mucho y se ríe exactamente como su hermana. ¡Qué sorpresa! No es un rata, ¡es Sofía! Sofía tiene un disfraz (costume) de una rata gigante. Entonces, los dos se ríen y se duermen.

De repente, Billy ve un pelo negro y largo (long). Él piensa, «¡Yo puedo comer el pelo!» Entonces, Billy come el pelo largo. ¡Pobre Billy! Él no es un chico normal. Él es un chico muy raro.

Después, Billy va a la clase de inglés. Billy piensa que la clase es muy  aburrida también. De repente, Billy tiene mucha hambre, pero él no tiene comida. Entonces, Billy ve un chicle (gum) debajo de su silla. Él piensa, «¡Yo puedo comer el chicle!» Billy agarra y come el chicle (gum) debajo de la silla.  ¡Pobre Billy! Él es un chico muy raro.

Entonces, Billy va a la clase de biología. Normalmente la clase de biología es aburrida. De repente, Billy tiene mucha hambre, pero él no tiene comida. Entonces él piensa y piensa porque quiere comer. De repente él ve dos ojos de un animal. Él piensa, «¡Yo puedo comer los ojos!»  Entonces Billy come los ojos y piensa «Es un poco raro comer ojos en clase pero no tengo otra opción. Tengo mucha hambre. Los ojos no son deliciosos pero necesito comer.»

Después Billy va a la clase de español. Billy no piensa que la clase es aburrida porque español es su clase favorita. Pero en la clase de español Billy tiene mucha hambre y de repente ve la comida de Sra. Marcroft. Él piensa, «¡Yo puedo comer la comida de Sra. Marcroft en secreto!» Entonces mientras (while) Sra. Marcroft habla con  la clase de español Billy come toda (all)  la comida de Sra. Marcroft.

Finalmente, Billy va a la clase de educación física . Billy se sienta en la clase de educación física  y él piensa que la clase es muy aburrida. De repente, Billy tiene mucha hambre, pero él no tiene comida. Entonces, Billy ve un desodorante. Él piensa, «El desodorante huele (smells) bien.
